How to make Windows XP Thai Supported

 

Install Languages

  • Click Start | Control Panel.
    Click Start | Control Panel
  • Click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options category.
    Click Date, Time, Language and Regional Options
  • Click Add other Languages.
    Click Add other languages
  • Select Languages tab, then Checked Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai) in the Supplemental language support panel.
    Check Install files for complex script and right-to-lef languages (including Thai)
  • Press [OK] button, then wait for it to copy languages files. It may ask for Windows XP CD during the process.
  • Restart your Computer.

 

 

 

 

Configure Regional Options

  • Click Start | Control Panel | Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options.
  • Click Regional Options tab.
  • Select Standards and formats to Thai, Location to Thailand, then press [Apply] button. If you are out of country, choose the country in the Location panel to the country you are currently residing.

  • Click Languages tab, then press [Details...] button.
    Select Languages tab, then Click Details button
  • Press [Add...] button in Text Services and Input Languages dialog to add Input Languages.
    Click Add... button
  • Select add Input language: Thai, Keyboard layout/IME: Thai Kedmanee, then press [OK] button.
  • Press [OK] on Text Services and Input Languages dialog.
  • Select Advanced tab, then change Language for non-Unicode programs to Thai.
  • Check Apply all settings to the current user account and to the default user profile.
    Select Thai as default for non-Unicode programs
  • Restart the computer again.

 

 

 

Enable Grave key

  • Click Start | Control Panel | Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options
  • Select Languages tab, then press [Details...] button.
    Select Languages tab and pressDetails button
  • Press [Key Settings...] button in Text Services and Input Languages dialog.
    Press Key Settings button
  • Select Switch between input languages, then press [Change Key Sequence...] button.
    Press Change Key Sequences button
  • Select Grave Accent(~), then press [OK] to accept changes.
    Choose Grave Accent(~)

 

 

Configure Time Zone

  • Click Start | Control Panel | Date and Time
    Click Date and Time option
  • Click Time Zone tab, and select (GMT 07:00) Bangkok, Hanoi, Jakarta. This option is for those resides in Thailand. If you are out of country, configure your timezone corresponds to where you are residing.
    Choose Bangkok Timezone
  • Press[OK] button.
